mylandlordly ("we," "us," or "our") is a property management platform for individual landlords, small investors, and property managers. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information about you when you use mylandlordly.com and our related services (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us and information generated through your use of the Service.

Account information:

• Full name, email address, and password when you register
• Phone number, if provided
• Billing information processed through our payment provider

Property and tenant data:

• Property addresses, lease terms, rent amounts, and occupant details you enter
• Maintenance requests, documents, announcements, and vendor contacts you upload or create
• Tenant information you input, such as names and email addresses

Usage data:

• Pages visited, features used, and actions taken within the Service
• Browser type, device type, and IP address
• Feedback and support messages you submit

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the Service
• To send transactional emails such as invitations, account confirmations, and password resets

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers located in the United States. We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit and bcrypt hashing for passwords at rest.

While we take reasonable precautions, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days of cancellation, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.

Uploaded files (such as lease documents) are deleted from our servers within 30 days after account deletion.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

• Stripe — payment processing. Stripe collects and stores payment card data on our behalf. We never store raw card numbers. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Zoho Mail — transactional email delivery (invitations, welcome emails, feedback notifications). See Zoho's Privacy Policy.

We do not integrate with advertising networks, analytics platforms that track users across sites, or social media tracking pixels.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data (you can also update your profile directly in the app)
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data
• Portability — request an export of your data in a common format

8. Cookies

mylandlordly uses a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies. No cookie consent banner is required because we only use strictly necessary session cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
